How to choose a facial in Perth
Start with what you want from the appointment, how much time you have and what your skin is comfortable with. A treatment name or brand can help you narrow the menu, but it cannot tell you whether an appointment suits your skin. Here is a practical way to make that choice before you book.

Decide what matters most to you
A relaxing appointment, a short visit during a working day and a conversation about an ongoing skin concern are different starting points. Write down your main priority in a sentence. It gives the person helping you choose a clearer brief than asking for the strongest facial or whichever treatment is most popular.
You do not need to diagnose your skin before contacting us. Explain what you have noticed, what you would like to change and what has or has not felt comfortable before. Persistent or concerning symptoms are a reason to seek medical advice; a beauty treatment menu is not a diagnosis.
- What would make this appointment worthwhile for me?
- Am I trying something new, or returning to a treatment I know?
- Do I want a short appointment or a longer visit?
- Do I have an important event, holiday or outdoor commitment coming up?
Use the menu to narrow your options
Chafa Beauty is an authorised Dermalogica and Medik8 stockist and treatment provider. Our menu also includes facials and express facials. These are useful categories to browse, rather than a ranking from basic to best: the right appointment depends on the discussion about your skin and expectations.
The Dermalogica category lists Bright, Illuminate, Rejuvena, Improve, Renewal and Radiance. The Medik8 category includes named peels and a Crystal Retinal Age Defying Facial. A product brand you use at home can be a starting point for a question, but it is not a reason to assume every professional treatment from that brand will suit you.
Use the links below to compare the actual appointment choices. The figures are taken from our current website booking catalogue. They describe appointment time and listed price, not a guaranteed result or a recovery period.
| Treatment | Time | Price (AUD) |
|---|---|---|
| Women's Advanced Dermalogica Skin Treatments | 1 hour, 20 mins / 1 hour / 1 hour, 15 mins | $175–$400 |
| Advanced Medik8 Treatments for Women | 45 mins / 1 hour | $155–$200 |
| Women's Facials | 20 mins / 1 hour / 5 mins | $35–$150 |
| Women's Express Facials | 30 mins | $85–$110 |

Compare the full appointment, not just the headline price
Before deciding, check the exact treatment name, duration and what is included. Ask whether anything being discussed is optional and whether it changes the total. This is especially useful when comparing a facial with a peel or an appointment that includes a mask. A longer appointment is not automatically a better choice for your particular goal.
Set a comfortable budget for the visit and say so at the start. If homecare or another appointment is suggested, ask for its purpose and separate cost before making a decision. You can compare those recommendations with your priorities rather than trying to make several choices at once. The online booking screen is the place to check the final selection and price before payment.
Bring the details of your current routine
A photo of the labels on the products you use is easier to work from than remembering a brand name. Bring a short list of recent treatments and any previous reactions too. Tell the provider about relevant medicines and skin conditions so suitability can be discussed before a treatment begins; do not stop prescribed medicine on the basis of a blog article.
Useful questions include: What are you recommending for my main priority? What might my skin look or feel like afterwards? What preparation and aftercare apply to this particular appointment? If the answer affects your work or plans, ask before committing to a date.
Make room for your Perth plans
A beach weekend, outdoor work or an event is worth mentioning when choosing an appointment. Ask the provider to explain the relevant aftercare and whether your plans fit it. Avoid assuming that a lunchtime appointment means you can return immediately to every activity.
Cancer Council WA explains that temperature is not a measure of UV exposure and recommends sun protection when the UV level reaches three. Check the UV forecast rather than relying on how warm or cloudy the day feels. Treatment-specific advice should come from your provider.
Still unsure which appointment to choose?
Contact Chafa Beauty with your main priority, preferred appointment length and any timing constraints. You can ask about the available options before choosing one online. We are at 2/205 Bulwer Street, Perth, with contact details and directions on our contact page.
Before paying, check the treatment, date, time and the booking policy shown on the booking page. Keep any preparation instructions you are given. A clear choice is one where you understand what you have booked and what questions still need an answer.
